Lake Wave is led by Michael Wylie, a producer, director, writer, and editor of film, television, and digital media. Having built up a long list of credits in California and New York, he maintains a professional presence on both coasts while being based in Metro Detroit, where he was born, raised, and educated at the University of Michigan.
As the former Director of Development for two Hollywood production companies, he developed and refined new ideas, created pitch documents for financiers, and edited of dozens of sizzle reels as well as an award-winning short film. Projects he developed have earned the greenlight at Netflix, Hulu, Warner Bros. Discovery, Amazon Wondery, E!, and Snapchat Originals.
He specializes in turning new and imaginative concepts into a product that is entertaining, innovative, and true to the client’s creative vision.
Engagement Workflow
Lake Wave specializes in producing documentary and “unscripted” content, shepherding our projects all the way from initial concept to public release. Our specialty is subcontracting for ad agencies, as well as other production companies in search of cost savings and local market expertise.
We begin by sitting down with our clients, identifying the messaging goals of the brand they are managing.
We return to our client with pitches for short-form, long-form, episodic, and/or social media content achievable in the prospective budget of their brands.
Once the client and brand have approved a project and provided the financing, we produce, edit, and deliver the content.
